Dissolution of Civil Partnerships

The Civil Partnership Act 2004 came into effect on 5th December 2005. This Act for the first time allowed couples of the same sex, who registered their partnership the same rights and responsibilities of a married couple.

The Law appertaining to the dissolution of a civil partnership is not that far removed from Divorce law.

Upon separation each party will need to make arrangements for their children, finances and decide where they are going to live. Abensons will advise on these and other matters which cause concern.
