The breakdown of any relationship can be difficult and upsetting. There will be many issues to resolve. Abensons can offer advice and guidance, which will relieve anxiety and doubt.
The Civil Partnership Act 2004 came into effect on 5th December 2005. This Act for the first time allowed couples of the same sex, who registered their partnership the same rights and responsibilities of a married couple.
The Law appertaining to the dissolution of a civil partnership is not that far removed from Divorce law.
Upon separation each party will need to make arrangements for their children, finances and decide where they are going to live. Abensons will advise on these and other matters which cause concern.
If you are thinking of separating, or have separated from your partner, it is important you receive legal advice at the earliest opportunity. It is preferable you take advice prior to leaving the property, or deciding upon the division of any assets.
We can also advise you upon claims against pensions and Inheritance.
